Picture Trails

Trails bring together highlights from the collections of all our participating agencies on particular themes, such as advertising in Australia or cartoons and caricatures. When you click on a trail, a selection of images relating to that theme will be displayed. Use them to inspire your own searches.

Slideshow Trails

Together the Le@rning Federation (TLF) and Picture Australia have created a suite of slideshow picture trails to build resources for the national curriculum. To find out more about the meaning of images in the trails, see their accompanying education value statement.

Linking to Picture Trails

Picture Australia has created ways for you to permanently link to our picture trails. When you are in a trail that you want to return to, just copy the URL link in your browser, for example:
<http://www.pictureaustralia.org/trail/bushrangers>
or for the new slideshow trails:
<http://www.pictureaustralia.org/slideshow/Advertising+Australia>

You can also create permanent links to your own Picture Australia search results . These links can be used by other online services and if posting information to wikipedia or blogs.
