CityLibraries Townsville

Townsville City amalgamated with Thuringowa City in 2008. The CityLibraries Thuringowa image collection  includes over 1,000 images.

The collection covers the period from the early twentieth century to the 1990s and comprises a range of social history subjects including rural life and pioneering families; World War II; and locations within the previous Thuringowa local government area. 

Digitising and indexing of the CityLibraries collection is ongoing.  Members of the public or organisations wishing to donate images of the local Townsville area should contact CityLibraries.
